Its one day before I leave and I finally finished the family portrait I have been working on for a month. Good timing… My next posts will be from the road. We are leaving Raleigh tomorrow!

Visit to Santa Cruz

I found a wonderful one bedroom apartment in Santa Cruz! Some of the many wonderful things about it: its about two blocks to downtown, in a wonderful Victorian neighborhood, huge back porch up in the trees, about a 15 minute walk to the beach, a farmers market right down the street, a wine store and Urban Outfitters right around the corner, etc. etc. I couldn’t think of a more perfect place. It is exactly what I dreamed for. See the buildings up in the trees?:
